Pennsylvania’s first four-time state champion, Tynan “Ty” Moore, was a wrestling legend. A cunning, versatile, and ruthless competitor, Ty was defeated only once in high school, on a controversial call. He went on to wrestle for the University of North Carolina, and later to co-found the Angry Fish Athletic Club. Ty passed away in 2014.
Beyond wrestling, Ty’s legacy is one of loyalty and love. His friends and athletes knew that his commitment to them was absolute and unwavering. They also knew he was nuts, of course… but because he brought out the best in them, they didn’t care.
Ty Moore left his mark on a generation of Pennsylvania’s best wrestlers, and on the athletes they went on to coach across the country. The Angry Fish would not be what they are without him.
